Exodus Chapter 34

1. The New Tablets
– The Lord commands Moses to cut two new stone tablets, as the first ones were broken.
– Moses goes up Mount Sinai, and the Lord descends in a cloud and proclaims His name.

– The Lord declares Himself as the Lord, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

– Moses gathers the people and delivers the commandments the Lord has given him.
– The people agree to obey the Lord’s commandments, and Moses writes down the words of the covenant.
