Jacob And Esau

Born to Manoah and his wife as a Nazirite, Samson possessed superhuman strength given to him by God's Spirit. Samson's most famous exploits included tearing a lion apart with his bare hands, slaying 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey, and bringing down a Philistine temple, killing himself and thousands of Philistines in the process.

The Philistines had sent out their champion warrior, Goliath, who was an immense man described as over 9 feet tall. Goliath challenged the Israelites to send out their own champion to fight him in single combat, with the outcome deciding the victor between the two armies.
