Exodus Chapter 29
1. Instructions for consecrating the priests: Aaron and his sons are to be consecrated as priests to serve the Lord. This includes washing them, dressing them in the priestly garments, and anointing them.
2. Sin offering: A bull is to be brought as a sin offering to make atonement for the tabernacle and altar.
3. Burnt offering: A ram is to be offered as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
4. Ordination offering: Another ram is to be offered as an ordination offering, to consecrate Aaron and his sons as priests.
5. Waving the ordination offering: Parts of the ram are to be waved before the Lord as a wave offering.
6. Portions for the priests: Certain portions of the sacrifices are to be given to Aaron and his sons as their share.
7. Duration of the ordination ceremony: The ordination ceremony is to last seven days, during which sin offerings and burnt offerings are to be made.
8. Continual burnt offering: A lamb is to be offered as a continual burnt offering, morning and evening, as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
9. God’s promise to dwell among the Israelites: The Lord promises to dwell among the Israelites and be their God, if they obey His commands.
